Over the last decade, Kenya has made great strides in improving the quality of healthcare and the health status of its citizens. But the healthcare system remains weak, particularly in rural areas where 80 percent of the population lives. Maternal and child mortality, undernutrition, and HIV and other infectious disease continue to pose serious problems.

In August 2015, we sent $ 417,718 in medicines to support the work of Tropical Clinics, a US-based nonprofit organization that operates a health clinic in Kakamega, Western Kenya.
